You must obtain ethical clearance before any research project or enterprise activity can commence and potential human participants can be approached.
The ethics app asks you a series of questions relating to your project. The app will then analyse your responses and either give you clearance or will give instructions on what you need to do to gain ethical clearance.
You can also view a list of ethics forms you have completed and edit them as appropriate.

Designated members of staff can raise routine requests for maintenance issues to Estates and Facilities using this online system.
It is vital as many requests go through this channel as possible, to allow Schools and services to monitor requests being made for their staff/areas and monitor the work being charged back.

Use the Solent Reuse Portal on Planon to advertise and claim office items such as furniture and stationery which are surplus to requirements, for use on campus and at home.
Simply log in to Planon with your University log-in name and password and add the Reuse Portal to your Planon homepage by clicking on the cog on the top right of the screen and selecting the Solent Reuse Portal gadget from the toolbar.

You must book your car rental online using Enterprise's ARMS system. You'll need a user ID and password to access the system - email finance.procurement@solent.ac.uk with your email address, contact number and department and they will issue you with your login details.

Staff can use the Print Centre online shop to order printing work and paper supplies from the Canon print centre.
You can:
- Browse available products.
- Upload the documents you want to be printed.
- Choose printing and finishing options and proof each order before purchasing.
- Check your order history at any time (you also receive email notifications throughout the order, production, and delivery process)
- Use the address book to avoid entering an address each time you want to ship an order to someone - just select the recipient from your address book during the checkout process
- Re-order products.
